How do I create a report?

Last Updated: Mar 27, 2017 06:11AM EDT
To save and share hashtag data from any particular timeframe (from the entire time you've been following to date, right down to any specific five minute time period) simply create a Report.

To create a Report, follow these steps:
  1. From your Trackers page, click on View Analytics for the hashtag Tracker you wish to create a report on.
  2. In the date selector on the upper right part of the Overview page, select the date range you wish your report to cover.
  3. Click Apply to set the date range for your report.
  4. Choose a Report URL for your report - this will be the sharable link for your report, so you may want to give it a recognizable name (which must be all letters/numbers or dashes/underscores, and all one word).  If you don't choose a Report URL, the system will assign a random string of characters for you.
  5. Add a note about your Report - this will not be shown on the Report.
  6. Determine whether you want your report to be Public. If it is Public, you can share the URL and anyone with the URL can view the report. If it's not Public, only you and people on your Team (if you have a paid Pro account) can view the report while logged in to Hashtracking.
  7. Click Create Report to take a "snapshot" of that exact date range and save it as a Report.
Your window will refresh to the Report.
Reports are useful for:
  • Comparing various campaigns & doing competitive analysis
  • Demarcating a particular event (for example, analyzing a specific hour's worth of hashtag activity at a conference, to understand activity around a particular speaker).
  • Sharing the hashtag data via public URL (Note: Report setting must be public to share data).
You may save an unlimited number of reports in your Hashtracking account. So go ahead and slice and dice your data!
